Panasonic introduces the IP67 ASQMR switch with resistor-based fault mode detection. The new ASQMR diagnostic microswitch contains two chip resistors as a voltage divider. This can detect cable breakage or short circuits and prevent a malfunction that could potentially cause serious damage. By setting different output voltage levels for normal versus fault mode, a fault is recognized.
The ASQMR is the most compact resistor-equipped switch currently available on the market.
A construction with double sliding contacts ensures excellent resistance to shock and vibration. Various designs are possible with soldering pins, fork terminals or with loose cores. A range of levers facilitates deployment in a range of applications, including automotive door or hatch lock detection to industrial emergency and safety devices or detection in smart home or building automation.
