To meet the future control requirements of pneumatically driven valves, GF has developed two new electro-pneumatic positioners: the SPC (Stroke Process Controller) and the RPC (Rotary Process Controller). The SPC and RPC product range consists of four versions so that there is always an option that suits your needs!

The new electro-pneumatic positioners SPC and RPC are designed for both rotary and linear valves. The SPC positioner can be used perfectly with the pneumatic GF diaphragm valves and the RPC positioner can be fully integrated with the GF ball valves equipped with the new PPA plastic, pneumatic actuator. Below you will find an explanation of the four different versions.

Versions:

positioners voor pneumatische aandrijvingen

1. Standard base positioner The positioner is mounted on a pneumatically driven valve and controls the position of the valve. There are 3 types: SPC, SPC* (specific for DIASTAR > DN50) and RPC

2. Positioner with display This is the standard positioner equipped with a display for local reading. There are 2 types: SPC D and RPC D

3. PID controller The PID (process) controller is integrated in a control loop. The desired position of the valve is based on a process setpoint and the current process value (as an external sensor signal). The actual process value is calculated via the control parameters in the PID controller. Based on this, the desired position of the valve is automatically determined. There are 2 types: SPC PID and RPC PID

4. Unit position indication This version combines control valves and (visual) position feedback in one device. This gives you a compact and integrated solution for simple OPEN/CLOSE applications. There is 1 type: SPC Lite

The new positioners are easy and quick to commission via an automatic calibration function.
