RFID is increasingly being used to release machines or machine functions. This can be used to grant tiered access to certain functions or settings, for example, depending on the level of knowledge or responsibility.
For this purpose Idtronic has two waterproof readers:
- NEO Panel
- NEO Access
The NEO Panel reader fits into a 22.3mm panel cut-out and is equipped with a USB or RS-232 (DB9) connector. The reader is supported by Silab's USB VCP driver in Windows, OSX, Linux and Android.
The NEO Access reader is available as a surface-mounted reader, this reader works with RS485 – Modbus.
An SDK is freely available for both readers.
