Inxpect Plug&Safe Line radarsensoren Inexpect has expanded its range of radar sensors with a new product line: the Plug&Safe LineThis product line consists of two compact radar sensors ( S202A-MV and S202A-MS ) designed for quick installation, intuitive configuration and reliable machine safety.

Both sensors meet the ISO 102 18 2 2025 standard, in which the use of presence sensing devices is mandatory when the visibility of the operator in the cell cannot be guaranteed. They also support applications according to ISO 12895, where such sensors are required where full access to hazardous areas is required.


Always in view, even with dust and smoke

Like other Inxpect sensors, the Plug&Safe Line operates on a 60 GHz radar. This makes the sensors impervious to dust, smoke, or dirt and certified to SIL 2 and PL d. They therefore meet the highest safety standards.


Two variants:

S202A MV – Presence sensing

The S202A MV uses 60 GHz FMCW radar technology and detects the presence of people In a hazardous zone, even minimal movement, such as breathing, is detected. The sensor prevents the machine from restarting as long as movement is detected. It monitors a space up to 4 × 4 × 2.5 meters and is easily configured with three parameters: height, length, and width. The sensor has a 5-pin M12 connector for connection to the control unit.

S202A MS – Safeguarding

The S202A MS also uses 60 GHz FMCW radar technology and functions as a virtual safety light curtainAs soon as someone enters the monitored zone, the sensor disables the hazardous movement of a system or robot cell. The sensor monitors a five-centimeter-wide zone with two adjustable parameters: height and length. This sensor also features a 5-pin M12 connector for quick and robust connection to the control unit.


Easy to install and configure

The sensors in the Plug&Safe Line are designed for fast and error-free integration. For the S202A MS, only the height and length of the zone need to be specified. The S202A MV requires a third parameter: the width. The rest is handled automatically. Configuration is performed via Inexpect Safety Studio in which the detected volume can be visualized in 3D.
