Oval ferrite cores: advantages in operation and installation

The new Fair-Rite Oval-Snap-It and Oval-Clip-It series of ferrite chokes offer several advantages over the usual round versions. The oval geometry is the ideal solution for common-mode chokes where two cables can be routed next to each other, in order to suppress the generated interference signals from motor controls, power supplies and other applications. 

This oval design can also serve as a filter in inductive circuits, attenuating unwanted frequencies and improving signal quality.
