PFM (People Flow Management) Intelligence Group was founded in 1982 and is involved in mapping and analyzing visitor flows in shopping centers and stores, among other things. Twenty years ago, this started with a 'simple' infrared line at a C&A, but today the company works with the most advanced solutions on the market. For example, it is now possible to see in a real-time analysis whether the audience consists of men or women and whether they are wearing a face mask.

'Data beats emotion', says Michel l'Amie, IT & innovations manager at PFM. 'You may feel that it has been busy, but if the turnover then lags behind, it is useful to know why that is the case.'

Complete insight into all possibilities

To provide better insight into the possibilities of, for example, using heat mapping, mixing and analyzing data and gender identification, the company recently launched its PFM Data Experience Center launched. This is not just an innovative and expansive analysis center, but one on wheels. The Experience Center has been in the works since 2019 and has been fully operational since early November 2021, thanks in part to the Robustel routers that were supplied on the advice of Delmation.

'We find it important to make the entire experience and scalability clearly visible to our customers', emphasizes Bart Schmitz. 'That is not easy for every company. There has to be space to do our presentation, we have to bring equipment and everything has to be installed. It is therefore much more convenient to bring our equipment to our Experience Center. Nothing has to be installed, the space is optimally set up for our presentation and we can really show everything we can.'

Fast analysis thanks to 5G routers

'In order to be able to do all our analyses as quickly and efficiently as possible, the data generated by the equipment in the Experience Center is processed in real time and provides unique insights. Of course, we needed solid routers for this. Thanks to our two R5020 5G Robustel routers, more than 100 devices are connected from the Experience Center. They are user-friendly devices and are regularly updated. The service is also perfect. The request for a custom adjustment to the captive portal app was realized within a very short time by the Robustel development team.'

That PFM is at the forefront of innovation is evident from the fact that they purchased the first two R5020 5G routers in the Netherlands on the advice of Delmation. 'We like doing business with Delmation', l' Amie emphasizes. It is an innovative and IoT-focused company and they share our vision of the future of technology. It is not without reason that we have been partners in smart solutions for years.'
