In the student city of Leuven, just like in all other cities, a lot of attention is paid to the environment and the quality of life. Because more and more people live in cities, the requirements for urban planning and air quality are changing, which brings challenges. Postgraduate students from the Catholic University of Leuven who are following the “innovative entrepreneurship” program are faced with the mobility challenge. They are working on the Mobi, an electric vehicle for urban transport, which will be controlled by means of a joystick. Apex Dynamics supplies the planetary gearbox that is central to this control.
