Redesign vacuum-resistant incremental linear encoder LIF 481V
As before, the following two versions are available:
LIF 4x1V with APE in vacuum
LIF 4x1V with APE outside the vacuum
Renewed electronics
The interface module (APE) for use in vacuum has an aluminum housing. By using titanium screws and a suitable D-sub connector, the use of ferromagnetic materials is kept to a minimum. The HEIDENHAIN signal stabilization (HSP 1.0), which significantly improves signal quality, is integrated into the APE. This makes the scanning signals even more reliable and insensitive to external influences, such as pollution. Partly due to the HSP signal stabilization, the interpolation error has been greatly reduced to ± 12 nm and the position noise (RMS) to 0.6 nm. The new APE is also 3 cm smaller and therefore more compact. Thanks to the new electronics, the LIF 4x1V is suitable for safety-related applications. The “Failure rate and fault model” document is provided upon request.
Status LED
The multi-coloured status LED has been introduced in the APE outside the vacuum. This indicates at a glance the status of the scanning signals.
Confirmation
We recommend using the new mounting clamps to attach the glass ruler. These are already used with the linear encoders LIC 4003 and LIP 6001. The current terminals remain available for existing applications. The scanning heads are compatible with their predecessors, the glass rulers remain unchanged.
Residual gas analysis (RGA)
The following spectrum is typical of a LIF 4xV scanning head with a one meter cable and APE after 48 hours of baking in high vacuum at 100° C.
