Safe start, safe system locking (LockOut) and safe operating modes (MSO) play an important role on modern machines and systems. These tasks are complex, but with the CKS2 systems from Euchner the solution is simple.
CKS2 is available as a flush-mounted version (pictured right) and as an integrable submodule for the MGB2 door locks (pictured left). In both versions, the electronics are integrated. The RFID keys are high-coded and copy-protected.
Independent of existing security, one or more CKS2s can be added within the same environment. A key can also be assigned to multiple key adapters of different installations, so that you can realize key transfer with it.
Thanks to FlexFunction, CKS2 is very versatile. After unpacking and connecting, the CKS2 does not work at first. The behavior of each CKS2 unit is determined when a key is taught in for the first time. After that, the CKS2 'knows' how to work and whether there is one unique key or a set of keys.
As soon as a key is recognized as valid, the OSSD safety outputs are enabled. If several CKS2s are used next to each other, a serial chain can be obtained by connecting outputs to inputs.
Connecting to IO-Link is possible using a gateway. Then there are extensive diagnostic and communication functions. You can then identify keys and know which key was used to operate the installation.
The CKS2 submodule for the MGB2 door locks (pictured left) fits into MGB2-Modular for ProfiNET/ProfiSAFE or EtherCAT/FSoE and also into MGB2-Classic. No more complicated configuration or complicated key management, and key distribution stations are not necessary.
