The Dutch medical technology company Sirius Medical, the market leader in onco-surgical marker navigation, has raised €10 million in funding on World Cancer Day. The financing round was led by Invest-NL and Nextgen Ventures, with participation from De Groot Family Office and existing investors Brabant Development Agency (BOM), Holland Capital, Curie Capital, Team Holmium and the Sirius Medical team.

World Cancer Day is a poignant reminder of the ongoing fight against cancer, and this milestone reflects Sirius Medical's commitment to advancing cancer care. The Sirius Pintuition® surgical navigation platform, globally acclaimed by
breast cancer surgeons, offers simple and leading wireless localization for breast-conserving surgery in any hospital. This financing round enables Sirius Medical to further innovate the Sirius Pintuition system and the GPSDetect™ software platform, with a focus on user-friendliness and intuitiveness, and to expand the applications. In addition, with this investment, Sirius Medical will significantly strengthen its sales channels and accelerate the expansion into new markets.

“At Invest-NL we focus on investments in healthcare innovations that contribute to the prevention, replacement or relocation of expensive care,” says Karin Steffens, senior investment manager at Invest-NL. “Sirius Medical's mission to provide sustainable technological
solutions while maintaining balance within the healthcare system aligns closely with our mission. We are excited to support a company that is making a significant difference for women with breast cancer.”

“Announcing this funding milestone on World Cancer Day underscores the urgency
“We are proud to continue to contribute to our mission to improve cancer care worldwide,” said Bram Schermers, CEO of Sirius Medical. “This round of financing, in a difficult fundraising climate, is a clear testament to the talent of the Sirius Medical team and the Pintuition technology we have developed. We are proud to continue to contribute to the fight against cancer and look forward to the next phase of growth for Sirius Medical. We will have more positive news to share soon.”

“The leadership team at Sirius Medical has demonstrated exceptional expertise and agility,” said Roel Dekkers, Investment Manager, Nextgen Ventures. “The company is well positioned for expansion, and we see tremendous growth opportunity in other markets.”
