Study on the Evaluation of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU (EMCD)

As a board, we would like to keep you informed of current developments within our field and we could really use your help. For example, some time ago I received a tip from the association that a report had been released by the European Commission entitled: 'Study on the Evaluation of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU (EMCD)'. Via this link you can download this report yourself free of charge.

The article starts with a retrospective stating that the EMC directive has been in existence for about 30 years and has never been evaluated to date. That is why research has now been conducted into the usefulness and necessity of the directive, focusing on 5 specific topics: effectiveness, efficiency, relevance (including suitability for the intended purpose), coherence and EU added value of the directive. I would like to refer you to the relevant report for the results.
