TechAward 2022: innovations in the spotlight
This year, no fewer than fourteen entries are competing for the World of Automation TechAward 2022. This year, there will be extra attention for sustainability, with a separate Green TechAward. On the website of the WoTS 2022 you can now vote for your favorite innovation. In the upcoming newsletters we will highlight a number of entries. This time the ASi-5 Safety Input Module from Bihl + Wiedemann, the new SNAP IN connection technology from Weidmueller Benelux and the OPC Router from Novotek.
The ASi-5 Safety Input Module from Bihl + Wiedemann
ASi-5, short for Actuator-Sensor Interface, is a simple and cost-effective wiring technology for sensors and actuators. Power is supplied and data is transmitted via a single, flat cable with reverse polarity protection. Bihl+Wiedemann has incorporated this new technology into their Safety Module for optoelectronic safety devices (BWU4210). One of the first products with ASi-5 safety technology.
SNAP-IN connection technology from Weidmueller Benelux
With the new connection technology SNAP-ON makes Weidmueller Benelux maintenance and installation work easier and faster. The stripped conductor is inserted directly into open connection points and clicks into place with an audible click. The conductor can also be removed at the push of a button. Because the contours of the SNAP IN A-series terminals are designed in such a way that they can be easily gripped and mounted by industrial robots, there is also no obstacle to automated assembly.
OPC Router from Novotek
The OPC Router from Novotek is a unique middleware solution that enables users to optimally use process data from the operation. The product has a large number of plug-ins to extract data from different devices and forward it to other applications. All this can be configured graphically, which significantly reduces the time required to make real-time process data available for analysis and optimization. In addition, the product promotes the use of open standards including OPC UA, MQTT, ODBC and REST.
Vote now for your favorite innovation
Until August 31, you can vote for your favorite innovation in the online TechAward gallery. In addition, a professional jury will assess the innovations. Based on the visitor votes and the jury report, the four nominees per category will be determined. These four nominees will be allowed to present their innovation on the trade fair floor, where visitors can vote for the ultimate winner.
