Update provides fieldbus integration and improved diagnostics
Firmware update for Turck TBEN-Lx-SE-M2 managed Ethernet switch significantly increases functionality
With the latest firmware update, Turck’s TBEN-Lx-SE-M2 managed Ethernet switches can now be fully integrated into typical engineering applications. This enables the use of robust IP67 modules as active stations in fieldbus networks such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP, and also enables comprehensive network diagnostics.
Seamless integration into existing fieldbus networks gives users comprehensive insight into their network and its components, which also enables predictive maintenance. The switches’ redundancy mechanisms, such as MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol), DLR (Device Level Ring) and RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), further increase network availability and security. Features such as topology-based commissioning also simplify device replacement and increase efficiency.
The TBEN-Lx-SE-M2 switches are designed for use in decentralized installations outside the control cabinet. With two fast backbone ports (1 Gbit) and eight standard ports (100 Mbit), the managed switches enable a secure and efficient industrial network.
