FOCUS-1 integrates an ultrasonic flow meter and 2 combined pressure and temperature sensors; one at the inlet and the other at the outlet of a control valve. This makes the smart control valve capable of measuring flow, pressure and temperature and at the same time regulating the flow or pressure/temperature to achieve the desired result. For example, when your DCS or PLC sends the flow as a setpoint to the device, this flow is controlled locally by FOCUS-1 quickly and accurately. Obtaining so much data from just one so-called “process node” is what really makes the device special.
Using a 4-20mA control signal, flexible communication via WiFi, HART® or Profinet and LED-based alerts according to the NAMUR NE 107 standard, the FOCUS-1 offers easy installation, integration & monitoring.
