During the WoTS we will be showing valves from our affiliated companies at our stand 8B044. We will review these valves in the near future. This time the rotating PSA valve from SAMSON PFEIFFER.

PSA stands for Pressure Swing Adsorption. This is a process in which individual gases are separated from a gas mixture. It is mainly used in chemical and petrochemical processes and in the steel industry, for example to recover hydrogen (H2) from flue or conversion gases, or to separate oxygen (O2) and nitrogen (N2) from air. The pressure swing adsorption process is divided into four stages, which proceed in cycles: Adsorption, depressurization, purification, and repressurization.

The design of this SAMSON PSA valve, type BR14P, is specifically aimed at use in the heavy process industry. The valve meets the strict emission requirements, is wear-resistant, can handle many switching operations and can also be used bi-directionally.
