With the introduction of the new EnDat 3 interface, HEIDENHAIN has expanded its proven EnDat platform with a new communication protocol that is ideal to meet the needs of the future in industrial production. This also applies to the latest innovations in the field of digital drive systems for machines and control loops with position encoders for measurement feedback.

Transmission via this new serial interface is more reliable and faster than ever, and can also include additional data such as engine specific parameters and sensor information. The extensive diagnostics and inclusion of encoders in troubleshooting routines ensure very high system reliability.
