16% less absenteeism by promoting reintegration
FHI, Federation of Technology Industries – June 12, 2018
This is evident from the periodic FHI sector report for 2016 from our preferred occupational health and safety service ArboNed Among FHI members affiliated with ArboNed, promoting partial recovery alone reduced absenteeism by 16%. Partial recovery means that a sick employee partially resumes work, as a step towards full resumption of work. The same report shows that the absenteeism rate is 3.7%. This is 1.1% lower than the sector average of 4.8% (source: CBS).
Promoting partial recovery alone resulted in direct wage savings of an average of €240 per employee. For the total population of FHI members affiliated with ArboNed, this meant a saving of no less than € 1.4 million in 2016.
