Points of attention for EMC measurements of field strength sensors

For field strength probes, the mutual deviation of the sensor between the three different directions is of great importance for EMC measurements. Under ideal conditions and at a constant field level, a field strength sensor measures exactly the same in each of the three directions when the sensor is rotated to the X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis. If this is the case, the sensor 100% is isotropic. However, is this feasible in practice and how reliable is this measurement?
