Easy control, evaluation and documentation of measurement performance

Of Advanced Meter Verification (AMV), FLEXIM now offers a powerful solution for checking, evaluating and validating the measurement quality of its FLUXUS ultrasonic flow meters as well as documenting this. FLUXUS measures the (volumetric) flow of liquids, gases and steam, as well as thermal flow of liquids. All measurements are performed on a non-intrusive basis and the transducers are mounted on the outside of the pipe. Because the transducers do not come into direct contact with the medium, they are not subject to wear and function virtually maintenance-free. The acoustic signals, which are primarily used to determine the flow rate of the medium, also provide valuable diagnostic information that is used to determine the measurement quality. AMV reads the diagnostic data and compares it with the original reference values stored in the transmitter. This gives the user the certainty that the measurement still functions properly. If the measurement quality decreases, this is picked up by the diagnostic data and reported in the 'Advanced Meter Verification' report. Trend analysis enables preventive planning of maintenance work and unexpected failures can be prevented.

The easy on-site measurement validation through AMV minimizes the need for calibration or maintenance. The AMV does not even require an interruption of the measurement and/or process, but can be carried out during a working measurement. The implementation of an AMV is easy to carry out and can be carried out by the user or by the FLEXIM service technician.
