Industrial sales prices in the Netherlands were 5.4 percent higher in July than in July 2017. This means that the price increase is also higher than in June.

The increase in sales prices is mainly caused by the price developments of crude oil. In July, products of the oil industry were more than 40 percent more expensive than in July 2017, reports CBS.

Prices in the automotive, plastics and rubber, metal products, machinery and electrical engineering industries were also higher than in July 2017.

Compared to June, the industrial output prices remained the same in July. Prices on the domestic market rose by 0.1 percent. Prices on the foreign market are unchanged.
