As of April 20, 2016, a new ATEX directive 2014/34/EU is in force. Apex Dynamics has had its entire portfolio ATEX certified according to the new directive 2014/34/EU and is available immediately. The ATEX certificate and associated letter of certification body SIRA are here to download.

What are the ATEX regulations about?

In environments with an explosive or flammable atmosphere (gases, vapours or dust), ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) approved products must be used. Examples of such environments are printing plants, food production, wood or other organic processing, car spray booths and, last but not least, the petrochemical industry. PII_ATEX-label

The two standards, ATEX 95 (94/9/EC) and ATEX 137 (99/92/EC), deal with the equipment used and the safety of users respectively. The latest version of this directive (2014/34/EU) was published by the European Parliament in March 2015 and is mandatory throughout the EU from 20 April 2016.
