XP Power has expanded the ASB series of low profile base-plate full brick power supplies with a 160W variant in addition to the existing 75W and 110W versions.
The ASB series is a compact and complete AC/DC power supply for generating 12-54Vdc without additional components; it includes an integrated EMC filter, AC fuse and a bulk capacitor. The ASB can be placed directly on the printed circuit board.
The wide input range of 90-264Vac makes it universally applicable, with a single output voltage of six levels: 12, 15, 24, 36, 48 and 54Vdc. The permitted base-plate temperature range is from -40°C to +90°C. With an efficiency of 93%, this is currently the highest achievable level for this type of power supply.
The robust housing makes the ASB very suitable for applications in closed enclosures, especially ATEX devices because no forced cooling is required.
