We wish all members of the Dutch Trade Organization a successful and healthy year. We cannot make predictions about Corona conditions, but with the activities in this coming year we will respond to current challenges in the built environment. As a member you can be actively involved in this. You will have networking opportunities during five meetings with end users and you can provide direction in working groups and the evaluation of the conference.

The first end-user meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 24.

This is a follow-up to the meeting at October 12, 2021, where VUMC and Sweco advocate stronger cooperation in the construction chain. A meeting is currently being held with the Amsterdam Ingenieursbureau and a consultancy firm in which the focus will be on a new form of collaboration, whereby work on realizing projects is based on both public procurement and the relationship with partners. This should create room for innovation and experimentation in order to be more efficient and effective in construction.

The evaluation of the Bits, Bricks & Behavior conference will take place earlier in the month. Participants, speakers and interested members will not only evaluate the 2021 edition, but will also explicitly brainstorm about the target groups, the approach, the name and the branding for the coming years. If you would like to discuss this, you can register at Max Meijer

Since DBCxA was founded in 2021 and the entire work on commissioning has now been given a structural basis in a foundation, this work will be strengthened in 2022. Associations register as stakeholders and companies can be involved as participants, to promote the importance of commissioning in the built environment.

We will keep you informed about the training courses in the coming year  TVVL in collaboration with FHI, but we will also involve you more in the activities of the other FHI branches. Approximately twenty conferences are organized within FHI as a whole. This results in themes such as energy storage, industrial cyber security or predictive maintenance, which may be relevant for members of the Building Automation industry.
