The EPC-50A buck-boost family is an advanced series of bidirectional DC/DC converters designed to meet the challenges of today's energy transition. Equipped with the latest technologies, these converters can handle a wide range of voltages on both sides. The high efficiency of up to 99.2% ensures effective energy transfer without significant energy losses.

The EPIC 50A family offers integrated CAN communications for accurate control and measurement, which is critical for applications where precision and reliability are required.
The modular system can be expanded by parallel configuration, providing a robust solution for complex power requirements. Thanks to the standardized 2U half rack design of 463mm deep, installation and integration into a 19” rack is easy.

Key Features:

  • Wide voltage range
  • Voltage and current regulation
  • Soft start from 0V
  • MPPT for PV
  • CAN communication
  • Built-in electrical protections (overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature)
  • High efficiency
  • Scalable power (by paralleling)
  • Suitable for rack and wall mounting

The EPC 50A 1400 marks the first certified version of this advanced step-up and step-down converter series, with more variants coming soon. With a V high side of 200-1400Vdc and a V low side of 0-1348Vdc at a nominal current of 50A and a nominal power of 57kW, this converter provides a solid foundation for efficient energy transfer.
At lower voltages, the maximum allowable current may limit power, but the inverter functionality is maintained.
