Björn Kuipers receives a check for 5,000 euros for the Emma Children's Hospital Support Foundation
Top referee and entrepreneur Björn Kuipers received a check worth 5,000 euros from FHI chairman Willem van Raalte and FHI director Paul Petersen at the KNVB Campus. The money goes to the Emma Children's Hospital AMC Support Foundation.
The Stichting Support Emma Children's Hospital AMC raises funds for the Emma Children's Hospital AMC. The money is spent on care, scientific research, good facilities and improving the psychosocial conditions in which children and their parents find themselves in the hospital.
This year, the foundation wants to have a significant portion of the donations go to the Neonatology Intensive Care department. This allows investments in scientific research and the renewal of this department. The scientific research is led by Professor Marc Benninga.
Kuipers raised money for charity during the FHI Federation Congress in 2018 by selling signed copies of his book 'Björn' after his presentation. FHI decided to double the proceeds for the Emma Children's Hospital Support Foundation AMC to an amount of 5,000 euros.
