One of the reasons to visit a trade fair is to discover the latest innovations and developments. WoTS 2022 offers an excellent opportunity for this with the TechAward 2022. A prestigious award for the most innovative solution for your laboratory. With extra attention to sustainability this year with the Green Tech Award.

The online TechAward gallery is open and you can cast your vote. An overview of the innovations (some entries are in English): 

NBS Scientific: The SPL Guard Arizona is a unique defrosting station for even, fast and precise defrosting of a single sample rack. By default, the Arizona is set to 5°C and reaches this temperature in 6 minutes. Thawing at a consistent rate ensures the quality and integrity of samples for downstream research.

Ziath: The wireless and portable all-in-one scanner LUX can scan SBS/SLAS racks anywhere and save the scan data and send it directly. This makes it possible to scan samples close to their storage location. Think of freezers and cryogenic storage. The scanned samples can therefore better maintain their temperature, which improves their quality.

CYTENA: The B.SIGHT uses cutting-edge optical and single cell dispensing technology to enable the single cell isolation of microbiome samples. It consists of a microfluidic system, which constantly produces microdroplets of the target suspension, combined with high resolution optical microscopy and real-time image analysis.

DENIOS: SpillGuard® connect is a unique leak detection system! If dangerous liquids escape unnoticed, this can have serious consequences for people and the environment in a very short time. To respond quickly and adequately, DENIOS has developed a new leak detection system, the SpillGuard.

Beckman Coulter: The Biomek NGeniuS Next Gen Library Prep System is an accurate, easy to use, cost-effective, NGS sample prep system with built-in error reduction and the flexibility to run an array of library preparation kits from multiple vendors—without requiring in-depth programming knowledge.

Promega: Promega has developed a new fast immunoassay platform (Lumit™ immunoassays) for quantifying targets, such as cytokines (Lumit™ cytokine immunoassays), without the need for any washing steps. The technology allows rapid and sensitive determination of cytokine release from cells without sample transfer.

CYTENA: S.NEST is a microbioreactor that works in the highest throughput with the smallest volume for parallel cultivations in 96 and 24 well plates. It consists of four independent chambers which enable up to four cell culture plates to be cultured simultaneously.

Dispendix: DOT HT allows researchers of all places to set up their workflows for high-throughput screening experiments. It has the full flexibility to act as a standalone benchtop dispenser, as well as being able to be fully integrated in lab automation.

Interflow: The powder extraction cabinet series IF/PAK-SC provides protection for the user and the environment and has been developed for working with solid substances that can cause allergic reactions or that can be harmful to health if exposed for long periods of time.

Merck: The MQuant® test strips and complimentary MQuant® StripScan app provide all the reliability and consistency that you expect from a premium rapid test, with added digital data management options.

PMT Benelux: The Sievers Eclipse bacterial endotoxin testing platform is an analyzer for endotoxin testing (kinetic chromogenic) which uses an innovative microplate: By using a microplate, 21 samples with PPCs can be measured in duplicate in 1 assay and a 3, 4, or 5 point standard curve of 50- 0.005EU/ml with negative control in triplicate.

Dispendix: L.DROP facilitates the sharing of protocols between labs and instruments for an unparallel laboratory efficiency and degree of process redundancy. With real-time volume verification and remote monitoring, never again worry about the reproducibility of your experiments or the validity of your results.

Elscolab: The ASSIST PLUS pipetting robots were developed to streamline routine pipetting tasks and increase throughput in today's laboratories.
By adding the new D-ONE single channel pipetting module, the ASSIST PLUS can automatically perform individual sample transfers.

Tecan: MagicPrep NGS system is a new category of automated laboratory equipment that provides push button simplicity for NGS library preparation for Illumina sequencing platforms.

GenScript USA: The AmMag™ SA Plus system is designed to automate protein or antibody purification using magnetic beads. The instrument is capable of using 50ml tubes and can purify up to 12 samples simultaneously within one hour.

Interflow: To measure the protected area in an operating room or cleanroom, we work with Computational Fluid Dynamics technique. The OR is mapped using construction drawings and a 3-D scan. All parameters are entered and the software then calculates how the air will move in the room.

You can now cast your vote on your favorite innovation. This is possible until August 31, 2022. In addition, an expert jury will assess the submitted innovations. Four nominees are determined per category based on the visitor votes and the jury report. They can present their innovation on the exhibition floor.
