How a 60mm small servo motor directs a 392 HP John Deere tracked tractor!
This required a robust, industrial and above all safe drive and control solution to keep this super tractor on track. The additional requirements were that the drive had to be so compact that it would not get in the way or hinder the driver in his work.
A mechanical construction was devised for this purpose in which a servo motor with Apex Dynamics gearbox is clicked onto the steering rod. When necessary, it can be disconnected just as easily. The result: steering with 2 fingers and maximum attention for the soil cultivation! In short, an extremely successful combination of brute force and intelligently used drive and control technology.
