In the four fully equipped pilot plants in Europe, new developments are often created in close collaboration with the customer. The most efficient process, system or installation is determined. The starting point is that the most energy and cost efficient solution is offered with the lowest possible total operating and maintenance costs.
Sustainability
Payback times are no longer always the only consideration. Achieving environmental objectives is becoming increasingly important. We are currently seeing a lot of interest in energy savings, alternatives to natural gas and heat recovery systems. A lot of energy can be saved by choosing the right drying technique. A good example is the use of a DMR grinding dryer instead of a spray dryer, especially if the raw material can already be mechanically dewatered in advance. This saves considerably in the thermal drying step. An additional advantage of this type of dryer is that it combines drying, grinding and classifying in one device.
These types of combinations and total solutions are in good hands with Hosokawa; In addition to the above-mentioned “powder processing” solutions, Hosokawa now also engineers and produces the “powder handling” part of a production installation. This includes, for example, silo storage and unloading systems, mechanical or pneumatic transport, filling systems for trucks, big bags or other forms of packaging. This allows Hosokawa to fully serve you with the turnkey delivery of a production process.
