Datalogic has renewed the well-known Falcon line with the Falcon X4.
In addition to more performance and speed through a completely new “state-of-the-art” internal architecture, the innovation also means more flexibility. The flexibility makes it possible to choose both Windows Embedded Compact and Android as the operating system on one and the same hardware platform.
The advantage of this is that if you choose Windows Embedded Compact now, you can still switch to Android at a later stage, which means that the terminal does not have to be written off as quickly.
Part of the completely new “state-of-the-art” internal architecture is also the MiMo-based latest 802.11 a/b/g/n radio technology. This MiMo (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology ensures greatly improved WiFi performance. The Falcon As known from the X3 and X3+ line, the available keyboard layouts are now 29 key numeric, 52 key alpha-numeric and a special layout with 12 directly accessible function keys. With these layouts, the most useful keyboard layouts are available for every application.
The Falcon X4 is available in a “handheld” version and a version with an ergonomic “pistol grip” design. You can also choose between a display with QVGA or VGA control. The X4 models are equipped with a Gorilla Glass 3 scan window, which due to its composition continues to guarantee optimal scanning performance under the most extreme conditions. As you have come to expect from the Falcon line over the years, the Falcon X4 is now backwards compatible with the Falcon X3 and X3+ in terms of batteries, battery chargers and other accessories.
