During the Liquid & Energy Measurement platform meeting on April 12 at FHI in Leusden, Arno Tuinman from Alliander will give a thematic presentation on the challenges of measuring hydrogen. The starting point is a pilot project in Lochem in which monumental homes are supplied with hydrogen via the existing natural gas network. Would you like to attend this presentation? The Netherlands and Europe have strict requirements in the field of energy & fluid measurement. So that you as a customer can be sure that you pay the right price for, for example, your full tank of petrol or your gas consumption. However, due to the energy transition, in combination with digitalization, there are developments in the market that no longer fit within the existing frameworks. This includes electric charging stations without a display or receipt on which you can read how many kW you have purchased and at what price. Or the low density of hydrogen, which places different demands on the measuring equipment when you apply it in the existing gas network.
Alliander's H2 Pilot Project in Lochem
These and other topics are discussed during the FHI Energy & Fluid Measurement platform meeting that takes place twice a year. The spring meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. in Leusden. In addition to suppliers and users of measuring instruments, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, NMi Certin and the National Digital Infrastructure Inspectorate (formerly the Telecom Agency) are also represented in this consultation. The meeting of April 12 will conclude with a thematic presentation by Arno Tuinman from Liander about the challenges of hydrogen, measuring instrumentation and the required regulations for the pilot project H2 in Lochem.
