More and more car users are placing specific requirements on the use, accessibility and sustainability of mobility. With a shared car it can be cheaper, cleaner and smarter. Vecore came up with a solution for this!

1. Smart Box SmartBox

Baulds has developed the hardware and software for the SmartBox in close collaboration with Vecore. It is a smart box that transforms an ordinary vehicle in no time into a vehicle that can be managed remotely.

Some features of the box:

  • CE certified: the box is fire, shock and vibration resistant.
  • Track & trace: the box provides the location data and mileage registration of the vehicle. Software can also be updated over the air. In technical terms: FOTA is on board.
  • The SmartBox reads data from the vehicle via OBD-II as well CAN bus. This dual configuration means the user always has the most relevant and accurate information about the vehicle.

1.1 Always in control

The SmartBox is the most essential part of Vecore's mobility solution. The most important question with car sharing is: who is responsible for the condition of the vehicle? How do you keep control as an owner?

With the box, you can use the management software to see what conditions the vehicles are in, whether there are any malfunctions, how much fuel is in the tank and where the car is at that moment.

A shared car is sustainable: cheaper, cleaner and smarter.

1.2 Convenience serves people

Convenience for the user comes first. Therefore, the user has two access options to the shared car: via the app (Bluetooth 4.0) or via the smart card (RFID/NFC).

Thanks to these smart solutions, people can easily get in, both with and without a smartphone. Even if you are in a parking garage where there is no GPRS coverage, the car can be opened.
