Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is crucial for the reliable operation of modern electronic test and measurement equipment. Otherwise, it can produce inaccurate measurement results and even cause interference in other electronic systems.
Due to the highly detailed information on the screen, a solution with flawless optical quality and the highest possible light transmission for maximum readability is required. The EMC shielding must not be an obstacle in this.
For this, PSC offers the Solaris Shield solution. This advanced optical grade cast acrylic has a co-cast metal fine mesh. To prevent the moiré effect, the mesh can be rotated at an angle. The light transmission is then still an excellent 80%.
Often a silver busbar is used to ensure a good electrical connection between the display window and the housing. A surface treatment can be added to prevent disturbing light reflections or to increase scratch resistance or chemical resistance.
PSC can also provide EMC display panels for resistive touch screens or a retro-fit EMC solution for existing displays or monitors.
