Display filters for medical equipment have challenging features, including EMC shielding, chemical resistance but also maximum readability. PSC has various solutions for this.

  • Polycarbonate with indium tin oxide coating:
robust solution, small color difference possible, virtually no noticeable decline in transparency
  • Optical-grade acrylic with a cast-in mesh of steel or copper:
best optical properties, highest EMC shielding degree, fully UV resistant, but also a more expensive solution

In addition to these solutions, there are also solutions in which a mesh is laminated between two plastic sheets. The disadvantage of this is that the thickness of the mesh must be smoothed out with a layer, which does not improve transparency. Any damage is visible, which is somewhat dictated by the lamination manufacturing process.

PSC is a Danish specialist of high-end optical display filters and additional windows. Deliveries of cast mesh and coated plastic can continue unabated, unlike many laminated EMC filter frames.
