The Koch Pxt-FX energy storage modules are primarily intended for storing and returning DC-link braking energy during short-cycle movements with repetition cycles from milliseconds to a few seconds. And must be able to do this more than 100 million times during its service life.

The bigger brother Pxt-RX is predestined for applications with a storage medium with a much higher energy density, such as supercaps or even batteries.

The Pxt-RX is designed for a usable load capacity of 30A / 60A peak, for 45 seconds. In combination with a high storage voltage of up to 800Vdc this results in a power of almost 50kW.
Depending on the application, active energy management systems can be created that fill large control cabinets. These systems work without problems with cables to the DC-Link of up to 20m.

Because the Pxt-RX systems are tailored to the application, these systems are almost always customer-specific. These switch cabinets consist of one or more Pxt-RX systems, the storage medium, for example supercaps, coupled with the correct fuses and cabling.
