The Energy Registration and Monitoring System (EBS) has been included as a mandatory recognized measure for 6 sectors since 2018. So in addition to implementing energy-saving measures, organizations must have an EBS from.

The Energy Registration and Monitoring System is mandatory for offices in education, sports and recreation, restaurants, retail and health and welfare institutions. Buildings that use more than 50,000 kWh or 25,000 m3 of gas per year must implement all recognized measures (based on the Environmental Management Act).

The EBS consists of smart meters and activities. The obligation also means that a report is made every year on the functioning of the climate installation. The report provides insight and through analysis settings can be adjusted if necessary. So that the climate installation works as efficiently as possible. The report is also proof for the competent authority (municipalities and environmental service) that the EBS obligation is met.

The EBS is also interesting for other sectors, because energy saving results in direct cost savings. How to make a report can be read in the EBS manual of the Rijksdienst voor ondernemend Nederland. Further information can also be found on the website of the RVO.

The manual of the recognized measure Energy Registration and Monitoring System (EBS) states what the measure entails and what needs to be done. The manual is written for people in the office market who need to draw up an EBS report. The manual can also be used for other sectors.
