The Panasonic PaPIR family EKMC and EKMB is being expanded with a new low-profile version. With a height of less than 11 mm, this PIR is ideal for installation in shallow housings or for aesthetic concealment. Despite the small lens diameter of 9mm, the opening angle is 110×110° and a detection distance of up to 5 meters! Just like the previous versions, the Low-Profile PIR is available with a consumption between 170uA and an extremely low 1uA. Typical applications of this PIR are flat ceiling lights, smart LED lighting, thermostats, cameras and displays.
