Every year, FHI partner ArboNed publishes a sector report with absenteeism figures. The annual report shows various developments within the various technology sectors, particularly in the area of absenteeism. A comparison is made between the 191 FHI members that are affiliated with ArboNed and the total file of ArboNed.
What are the most striking findings in the industry reporting about 2023?:
Net absenteeism (3.4%) decreased by 0.1 percentage points compared to 2022 and is 0.5 percentage points lower than the ArboNed benchmark.
The average disability percentage has decreased compared to 2022 and at 78.7% is also significantly lower than the benchmark. Advising on partial recovery (partial return to work) is a frequently used and effective tool used by ArboNed doctors as a step towards full return to work.
The reporting frequency is 0.83, lower than in 2022 but higher than the benchmark.
The average duration of absence among FHI members is 1.7 days shorter than in 2022 and 9.3 days shorter than the benchmark.
Long-term absenteeism increased in 2023, in line with a national trend. Absenteeism caused by 'Physical conditions other' lasted the longest on average among FHI members.
According to the company doctor, there were only cases of absenteeism that could be said with less than 50% certainty to be work-related.
No industrial accidents have been reported to ArboNed.
The number of days of absence with corona as a diagnosis was significantly lower in the fourth quarter of 2023 (301 days) than in the fourth quarter of 2022 (539 days).
