Every year, FHI partner ArboNed makes a comparison between FHI members and the total ArboNed database. The annual report reveals a number of developments within the various technology sectors in the field of absenteeism.

The most important findings at a glance:

  • Absenteeism (3.8%) has increased slightly compared to 2020. By promoting partial recovery by ArboNed alone, FHI members saved no less than € 329 per employee per year.
  • Increase in long net absenteeism (43 to 730 days) from 2.6% to 2.9%.
  • Absenteeism caused by mental illness has increased to 41.0%. Half of all days of absence have a psychological cause.
  • Absenteeism due to physical disorders of the musculoskeletal system (14.6%) decreased by 3.7 percentage points.
  • The duration of absence for 'Physical conditions other' is the longest at 255.8 days. A third of all absence days are diagnosed with this.
  • The number of industrial accidents increased from 4 to 7.
  • Work-related absenteeism cases increased from 34 to 41 cases. Of these, 33 had a psychological cause (80%).
  • The number of member companies remained virtually the same compared to 2020. The number of employees decreased by almost 500 to 4,123
  • The score for our services is again 7.9. The other customer satisfaction scores of 23 respondents are also above the ArboNed average.
