FHI member Air-Traxx about TNT discounts: “We save up to 20 percent”

FHI members benefit from numerous member advantages. For example, companies can get a big discount on the transport services of TNT (part of FedEx Express). One of the FHI members that saves a lot of costs with this FHI partner is Air-Traxx.

Frank Smit of Air-Traxx, also a member of the Building Automation branch within FHI, explains what his company does exactly: “We supply measuring and control systems for the built environment in combination with ventilation products. These go plug-and-play to our customers in the Netherlands, but also to China, for example.”

Air-Traxx benefits from the discounts at TNT/FedEx Express, especially for international parcel and pallet shipments, says Smit: “For large shipments, especially for air transport outside the Netherlands, we use TNT/Fedex. We do this so that we are not dependent on a single carrier, and one is better than the other in other things. Compared to other providers, it saves us between 10 and 20%, especially for international transport.”

Smit sees even more advantages of the FHI membership and the business support services of the trade association: “An added value of the membership is the legal support in the area of, for example, delivery conditions with regard to changing laws and regulations. Since we are a small company, we do not employ lawyers or tax advisors. As an SME, we are increasingly burdened with paper regulations from the government and the EU. It all depends on how you read or interpret them. That is why it is nice if you, as a member, can fall back on a trade association.”
