By means of: Martin Hof | FHI Building Automation

In the current landscape, building automation is often not a fully-fledged discipline, the traditional silos of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering are leading. Building automation often falls under mechanical engineering, but with current technological innovations, technologies and projects, this method is no longer sufficient.

The building automation trade association recognizes that the current situation is not desirable. In the FHI Technology Podcast #6, FHI editor Dimitri Reijerman discusses with Martin Staal (Kuijpers Gebouwautomatisering) and Tom Hundertmark (RHDHV) about the current position of building automation, the desirable situation and what is needed for building automation to be a fully-fledged mature discipline.
