Electrically conductive textiles are a groundbreaking material that more than meets the requirements for RF shielding. The durable, lightweight, corrosion-resistant material is based on nylon rip-stop parachute cloth which is plated with: silver, copper and nickel. Faraday tents are made with this material with a shielding of up to 95dB.
To ensure complete shielding, the tent is sewn with conductive thread and equipped with conductive zippers and conductive Velcro.
These tents are used for, among other things:
- shielded communication
- securing sensitive electronics
- pre-compliance EMC testing
Areas of use are: defense, security services, space and aviation, medical and commercial electronics. The flexibility and lightweight nature of the Faraday tent system also make it extremely suitable as a reverberation chamber.
