Nozzle Separator FDS2000

How does a nozzle separator work?

Nozzle separators are used to continuously separate solids from liquids. The product to be clarified or separated flows through a stationary inlet line into the inside of the bowl and is slowly accelerated to operating speed by the distributor. Larger solids are separated directly into the centrifugal field. Finer solids are separated as they flow through the disc stack. The solids collect in the outer solids chambers of the bowl. From there they are continuously discharged through the nozzles. The clarified liquid flows out of the disc stack and is discharged under pressure via an impeller.
