Miniaturized Galaxie® drive – the most compact precision gearbox with the largest hollow shaft

The miniaturized Galaxie® gearbox from WITTENSTEIN takes the proven principle of the classic Galaxie® one step further. The result: innovative kinematics that enable almost complete surface contact during power transmission in an extremely compact format. Thanks to this unique concept, the miniaturized Galaxie® performs significantly better than existing types of gearboxes with the same diameter. It combines the highest levels of torsional stiffness and torque density with a very large hollow shaft and maintains zero backlash throughout its life.

These excellent properties make it the ideal choice for applications where maximum precision and safety are crucial, even when space is limited and a lightweight design is paramount – for example in medical robots.
