Control and regulation circuits in many industries depend on highly accurate positioning or position feedback. In practice, rotary encoders or resolvers are often torsionally rigid and flexibly connected to the drive. Manufacturing and assembly tolerances as well as bearing play and temperature influences can cause misalignment between shafts in drive technology. This can lead to significant bearing loads. The consequences are increased wear and premature failure of the system. ABP has optimized its shaft couplings in such a way that these misalignments are compensated and bearing loads are kept to a minimum.
