The Han® 1A offers a compact, robust and universally applicable rectangular connector system for transmission in all lifelines of Industry 4.0 (data, power, signals). Users can use it in combination with low inventory to produce all necessary interfaces, for example for small to medium drives.
With the Han® 1A HARTING follows the trend towards miniaturization in the industrial sector. Ever smaller drives also require increasingly smaller interfaces, e.g. in mechanical engineering and robotics. The new connector series reflects the trend with matching housings and inserts. The necessary shielding for the motor connection can also be achieved with Han® 1A plastic connectors.
The series follows the Han® modular principle. The customer can flexibly combine insulating bodies, contacts, housings and latches into interfaces and achieve degrees of protection according to his needs. An IP20 solution with just two components can be assembled for use in protected areas within industry (e.g. on machine spars and supply ducts).
Han® 1A connector series
Only a small amount of additional effort is required to make it a waterproof and dust-tight solution with single-thread sealing mats, allowing gripper and other robotic tools to be powered in a pluggable manner. With additional housing elements, the degree of protection can be quickly expanded to IP65.
Wide range of application areas
Han® 1A thus creates a flexible and efficient connection of tools and modules possible such as heating or cooling units, fans, control terminals, lighting systems, drives and vibrating conveyors.
In the transportation technology The Han® 1A is recommended for connecting door operators and access systems, lighting, headlights, loudspeakers, screens, display panels, warning and alarm lights, push buttons, windscreen wipers and signal generators, etc.
Its modularity and variety of applications make it suitable for all areas in which small drives, sensors and devices need to be supplied. Han® 1A has much smaller dimensions than the next larger industrial connector, the Han® 3A. Housings, gaskets, inserts and cable glands are made of highly resistant, durable material (e.g. polyamide).
The individual elements are easy to recognize in the modular system: individual components can therefore be quickly assembled into a ready-to-use connector. The range also includes accessories such as mounting elements for quick wall mounting, strain relief or color coding pins.
Contact inserts are available for power, signal and data transmission. The connector can transmit a maximum of 16 amps and 400 volts. For areas particularly sensitive to interference, a shielded version is available that clearly outperforms conventional drain wires in their EMC effect. For data transmission, Han® offers 1A modules for Cat. 5 or Cat. 6A.
For the safe and voltage-free connection of devices, contacts with crimp or screw connection technology are available. The crimp technology is recommended for mass processing, while the screw technology can offer advantages for rapid installation in the field. With the Han® 1A Signal interfaces with a density of up to 12 D-Sub contacts can also be built.
In addition to interfaces in an IP-protected environment, the Han® 1A is ideally suited for the power supply of devices and small actuators on the periphery of production plants and for the connection of tools or small machine modules. Even with minimal warehouse stock, users can equip many different applications with just a few basic elements. Han® 1A therefore offers maximum possibilities with a minimum stock.
