Zwijndrecht, October 1, 2020 – Agidens, the Belgian system integration company specialized in process optimization through advice, engineering, automated solutions and maintenance services, has appointed Hedwig Maes as its new Chief Executive Officer. As of October 1, Mr. Maes will take over the responsibilities from Geert Stienen, who indicated a few months ago that he wanted to take on a new challenge outside the company.
With Hedwig Maes, Agidens brings a very experienced managing director on board with an in-depth background in the business in which Agidens operates. Hedwig Maes studied Industrial Electronics at IHAM and Business Economics at UFSIA University in Antwerp. He is a senior executive with more than 30 years of international experience in industrial automation and industrial systems, including 14 years at General Electric as Senior Vice President Enterprise Solutions and 10 years at Rockwell Automation where his last position was Vice President Global Systems & Solutions. His strategic capabilities combined with international business experience will be an important contribution to taking Agidens to the next level.
