Helmholz, specialist in PROFINET and industrial networks, is introducing a revolution in the PROFINET switch world, the FLEXtra PROFINET switch.
The practical design of the switch has Ethernet ports on the bottom, which saves you a lot of space in the control cabinet. The PROFINET cables are fed directly into the cable duct from the switch. The design is completed with clear LED indication on the front of the FLEXtra PROFINET switch. This gives you immediately clearly visible status and diagnosis information.
In addition to the innovative design, the FLEXtra PROFINET switch is equipped with 100Mbit/s and 1Gbit/s ports. This makes the switch suitable for both PROFINET traffic and traffic between, for example, control elements and different machines.
Because the switch is specially designed for a PROFINET installation, you can prioritize PROFINET-IO traffic in your network. The FLEXtra PROFINET switch naturally also supports other protocols that are common within PROFINET, such as LLDP, DCP and MRP.
The switch can be integrated into the engineering system using a GSDML file. This allows diagnostic alarms to be easily set and managed from your own engineering system.
