Concentrated expertise in electrical connection technology under one roof
The HELUKABEL Group creates space for further growth: The specialist for electrical connection technology is building a new location in Haan, North Rhine-Westphalia. From 2025, not only the HELUKABEL Rhine-Ruhr location, previously located in Duisburg, but also the subsidiary EKD Systems will be located here.
EKD Systems GmbH specializes in the development and production of cable drag chains made of steel, stainless steel and plastic and has been part of the HELUKABEL Group since the beginning of 2022. At the new location in Haan, the subsidiary will work together with their HELUKABEL colleagues under one roof. Since their customers and areas of activity overlap in many cases, the group of companies hopes for significant synergy effects through the move to the new location.
“On the one hand, we are expanding our capacity with the new building so that we can continue to grow,” explains Andreas Hoppe, Chief Financial Officer at HELUKABEL. The aim is to increase the number of employees on site from the current 70 to 150 by 2030. “On the other hand, we are in an even better position to integrate our joint capacities in order to offer our customers turnkey and tailor-made total solutions in electrical connection technology.
“The city of Haan was in many ways a logical choice for housing the new building,” Hoppe adds: “The geographical proximity to our previous locations is extremely advantageous. After all, many of our existing customers are based here and our employees no longer have to commute. The excellent infrastructure and the attractive location in the middle of the economically strong Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region were also strong reasons for choosing Haan.”
The HELUKABEL Group is building a new factory in Haan, North Rhine-Westphalia by 2025.
