Hioki PW8001 high precision 1,500V DC CAT II power analyzer
Direct current systems play an important role in the transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy. Due to the growing demand for sustainable energy sources, storage systems and decentralized energy consumption, efficiency increasingly plays a prominent role in the design, installation and use phase of DC systems.
To meet these quality requirements, Hioki has developed the PW8001 power analyzer developed. This three-phase power analyzer is ideal for analyzing PV inverters and DC-driven electric motors in the production phase or during commissioning.
A maximum of 8 input modules can be mounted in the PW8001 power analyzer. Type U7001 is a 16-bit module with ±0.07% basic accuracy, type U7005 an 18-bit module with ±0.03% basic accuracy and a higher bandwidth from 0.1Hz to 5MHz. Protection against external noise signals is prevented by the high-quality common mode rejection ratio from Hioki.
The high bandwidth and protection against external noise signals are indispensable for analyzing the new generation of PV inverters equipped with very fast switching SiC or GaN semiconductors.
New current sensors with phase shift correction
Simultaneously with the introduction of the PW8001, Hioki has introduced four current sensors. These sensors are automatically recognized by the PW8001 and support phase shift correction for better accuracy at higher frequencies.
