EN 60601 is a series of technical standards for the safety and essential performance of medical electrical equipment. The series is technically equivalent to the international standard IEC 60601 and the family includes more than 70 individual standards.
EN 60601 is a widely accepted standard for medical electrical equipment and compliance with IEC60601-1 has become a requirement for the commercialization of medical electrical equipment in many countries.
